CPS School Ashok Vihar phase 3

The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted oral health screening and treatment program on 27^th February 2022 at CPS School Ashok Vihar Phase 3 in association with SGT Publicity Team. The Dental team took initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon (Prof. & Head and Associate Dean). The Dental team was headed by Dr Abhinav Bhargava (Assistant Professor)  along with 1 faculty Dr Ajay (Oral Surgery) 2 Postgraduates Dr Virtika (Prosthodontics) , Dr Kevin (Periodontics) and 6 Interns Meera  , Elakshi  , Akhil , Anshu, Sonu and Manisha) and 2 attendants Mr Sunil and Mr Rajkumar.

Specialist Clinical support was provided by Department of Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Oral Surgery. 74 patients were examined out of which 30 were provided dental treatment in the mobile dental van (30 Oral Prophylaxis). Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT University for further procedures. Since the activity was planned on Sunday, more number of people came out to get their teeth checked.

Oral health education was imparted to the people and proper brushing technique was demonstrated. The general population gave a positive feedback and appreciated the check up and patient care provided by the Dental Team. They acknowledged the way the Dental team heard and attended to their problems with compassion The interns and postgraduates appreciated the opportunity provided to them to work in an outreach location and experiencing the working of mobile dental van and expressed their wish to participate in such activities in the future.

The purpose of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health.
