The Department of Public Health Dentistry, in association with the Department of Periodontology Faculty of Dental Sciences SGT University, conducted an oral health screening camp on 11^th March 2022 (Thursday) at Tikli Village,  under the aegis of Medical Superintendent, SGT Medical Hospital & Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and SGT Publicity Team.

The Dental team took initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon (Prof. & Head and Associate Dean). The Dental team was headed by Dr. Shikha Sharma (Assistant Professor, Department of Periodontology) along with 2 Intern Preeti Yadav and Pooja Verma, and one attendant Mr. Sombir.

A total of 47 patients including males, females, and children were examined. Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further procedures. Oral health education was imparted to the people and proper brushing technique was demonstrated. The general population gave positive feedback and appreciated the check-up preventive oral health counseling provided by the Dental Team. They acknowledged the way the Dental team heard and attended to their problems with compassion. The objective of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health.
