The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted oral health screening and treatment programme on 4th July 2022 while celebrating doctors day in association with Reliance foundation at Village ismailpur, Jhajjar. The Dental team took initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon (Head of Department & Associate Dean). The Dental team was headed by Dr. Abhinav Bhargava (Department of Public Health Dentistry) along with Dr Taniya (Postgraduate Prosthodontics), Dr Sanjoli (Postgraduate Conservative & Endodontics ), Dr Aditi (Postgraduate Oral Surgery), Interns Lakshay Tuteja, Komal, Gunjan and Elakshi and 2 attendants Mr. Sunil & Mr. Sombir. A total of 110 patients including 45 males and 65 females were examined. Out of which 11 patients were provided treatment in mobile dental van which included 9 oral prophylaxis and 2 restorations. Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further procedures. Toothpastes and mouthwash and medicines were distributed to the needy patients. Keeping in mind doctors day, school children of the government school were given Health talk by Dr. Abhinav Bhargava and brushing technique were demonstrated by post graduates and interns. All the school children, villagers and organisers appreciated the efforts of the doctors who have been toiling hard forever and especially during pandemic time. Oral health education was also given to the villagers tegarding maintenance of oral health and its relation with general health keeping in mind current pandemic. The general population gave positive feedback and appreciated the check up and patient care provided by the Dental Team. They acknowledged the way the Dental team heard and attended to their problems with compassion The purpose of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health.
