Advanced Stomato-diagnostician Association, under the aegis of Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University organized a Lecture cum Training Programme on “Physical therapies for TMJ Disorders” on 26th July 2022 by Dr. Sonia Pawaria, Associate Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, SGT University at 2:00 PM at Department Seminar Room, B Block.
The event was graced by Dr Omkar Shetty, Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences and Dr Shourya Tandon, Associate Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences. The lecture highlighted the rationale and indications of usage of TENS therapy, Ultrasonotherapy and Muscle stimulation in variety of TMJ disorders. It was followed by the demonstration of use of each machine. The faculty members, post-graduate students and interns interacted enthusiastically with the speaker and clarified all their doubts. It was an enriching learning experience for all. The event was conceptualised under the leadership of Dr Astha Chaudhry, Professor and Incharge, Department of OMR and coordinated by Dr Komal Sharma, Senior lecturer, Dept of OMR.
