Perio-Unnati Association, Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences organized a two-day industry visit at Osstem Implant Private Limited, Gurugram on 27.9.22 and 28.9.22. Post Graduate students along with the faculty members attended the visit in two batches.
This industry-academia partnership was established in the year 2020 between SGT University, Gurgram, and Osstem Implant Pvt Ltd. for the benefit of the stakeholders. Mr. Vipin Kumar, Marketing Executive explained all their products range including Taper Implant Kit, Guided Implant Kit, CAS Kit, Bone Grafts, and GTR Membranes to all the participants.

Dr. Amit Bhardwaj, Professor and Head of Periodontology Department along with Dr. Shalini Kapoor, Professor took the initiative to arrange this visit. Dr. Amit Bhardwaj demonstrated various techniques of implant dentistry to the participants. Students had hands-on experience with basic implantology, guided implant placement, and sinus lift techniques using Osstem Kits.
Company mentors provided simulating models for participants to have a hands-on experience and a greater understanding of Osstem Implants and Implant Kits. Students had hands-on experience with basic implantology, guided implant placement, and sinus lift techniques using Osstem Kits. Junior faculty members also had an insight into various newer technologies. Overall, it was a good learning experience for all the participants.
