An oral health screening awareness drive was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry, SGT Dental College at two villages, Karnawas, Rewari and Naharpur, Manesar on 22nd February 2018 and 23rd February 2018 respectively. These drives were organized by SGT University Publicity Team in association with Samarth Jyoti an initiative of UNO MINDA Group as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility. The activities on both days were headed by Dr. Sonia Raina and Dr. Tanvi Bhardwaj along with other resident dental surgeons. A total of around 150 patients including were individually examined and basic oral hygiene maintenance for each was encouraged through brushing methodology demonstrations, pamphlet distribution, oral health talks and even toothpaste distributions. Basic oral health treatments were also provided through portable inventory present with the department. Patients who required further advanced treatment were referred to SGT University with appropriate issuance of Gramin Health Cards to each individual. The purpose of the Oral Health screening camp was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health care.
