Department of Public Health Dentistry and Pedodontics under the aegis of SGT Marketing and Admission team conducted school oral health examination activity on 22^nd February 2022 at Shanti Niketan Public School Gurugram. The Dental team took initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon (Prof. & Head). The Dental team was headed by Dr. Babita (Senior Lecturer) Department of Pedodontics along with 2 Postgraduates Dr Parika (Pedodontics) and Dr Diksha (Orthodontics) and 4 Interns (Priyanka, Pooja Verma Aishwarya Sharma and Preeti Yadav) and 1 Attendant (Mr Sunil). The camp started at 10:30 am and continued till 2:00 pm. 108 students were examined from classes I to VI. Oral Health Education was imparted regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through brushing techniques, models and charts. The students were given token of appreciation with relevant oral health messages as a source of encouragement and mode of reinforcement The session was concluded by giving oral health education to the students and teachers. The purpose of the Oral Health talk was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health care. Students who required dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental hospital for further treatment.
